I have a 94 Yj that I bought about a year ago, ever sence I got it ,its been hard to get started.I have changed the cap,roter,plugs,wiers,fule filter,& the C.P.S. I was toled that the fule pump was new @ time of purches sow It hasent been changed yeat,It takes a while cranking it over to get it to go,Ounce it dose start it runs grate! Its driving me NUTS!!any help would be great !

no expert here but to me it sounds like a fuel pump

I also have a 94 yj, and the long crank time seems a bit too long, but my jeep mechanic says that's how they are. Three to five seconds is about how long mine takes to kick over from a cold start The manual says up to 15 seconds to start. 15 seconds seems way too long. I changed the wires, plugs, and cleaned the throttle body, etc...didn't seem to make a difference

I finley got some time to work on my yj ,after haveing to let it sit for a few mounths ,I did a compresion test and found the #6 cylinder was dead.When I removed the head we found that half the intake valve was missing rebilt the motor and put a new head on and it runs awsome! Wink
