Question: I have been having problems with my '07 Sahara -- occasionally the Engine Malfunction light comes on stays on for hours ( I definitely feel like I loose some power) also at the same time sometimes the Traction Control light comes on and I totally loose all power, I have to shut the Jeep off or I can't move, the accelerator doesn't work at all. I was told that there was a recall on this issue, does anyone have any idea?

Yes, there is a recall which involves reprogramming the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) (I kid you not, that is its name...). Here is the link reporting on the TIPM.

Contact your dealer and set up an appointment to bring in your JK for the recall. The reprogram should not take more than an hour tops, and you may notice an increase in acceleration and response time.

And here is the link for Project-JK logs on any and all recalls to the JK model as being tracked by Project JK and JK-Forum. thumbs

Yeah, go to the 'for owners' tab across the main page and then it'll bring up an option to enter the last 8 digits of your vin. That'll show all outstanding recalls. Here's a link to TSB's from alldata... TSB info.

Safest bet is to just contact a dealer and have them run your vin, that'll make sure you get the most up to date info.

edit: curse you drake and your fast typing flipoff agree .
