The other day i had a check engine light scanned at advanced auto parts and the guy told me it was a power steering sensor and that it needed to be replaced.I was just wondering if any has heard of this.

Yup

It bumps the idle speed when turning the steering at idle so the motor doesn't stall.

Gotta have it, gotta replace it.
