i have a 87 xj with a dana 35 and i keep breaking the yolk i was wondring if anyone else has had this problem and maybe a soultion thanks for any help you can give me

how is it breaking??? the u joint ears?? aroung the spline??
are you using new u joints??? inquiring minds need to know

the little tabs that hold the u joint caps in keep breaking then the caps slide out and thats when all the bad happens it happened twice. already yes new u-joints. thanks again for the help

get a yoke with u-bolts instead of the weak straps .

is your jeep stock ? do you have crazy driveline angles ?

U bolt yoke will fix the problem!

where do i find the u-bolt style? i have a 4.5 lift with 31's so nothing crazy i just bought a new strap style yolk do you think i sould drill them out and use the u-bolt type? thanks again for all your help

If you have a yoke that still has the tabs, you could just drill it out and put some u-bolts through it.

i don't know were you will get the u-bolts , i always have to get mine made at a local fab shop , go to the biggest one with way to much machinery , they will be able to make them Smile

or hunt around .

They can usually be bought at an auto parts store.

U-Bolts Autozone

U-Bolts Advance Auto

There are many online stores that sell them as well!

we don't have ether of those stored in canada . our parts stores aren't as good .

lucky american's

there are actual ubolt conversion kits for your yokes , i forget who makes them though
