can any one help me out my 89 yj has been lifted 4in with new springs and what appears to be new shackelsit has 33 12.5s my problem is it seams unsafe to drive on a straight flat road it ok but on a small two lane with dips and angles its all over the road with oncomming traffic its pretty dam scary you never know when its gonna shoot over into the oppisit lane, all my tie rods seem tight no play my track bar and drag link are tight and even i installed a new stabilizer .im starting to wonder if something can be wrong with the rear suspenssion that may be causing this problem ,would smaller tires help any help would be appreacated

with the lift and tires you have altered the angle of things such as the castor and the sway bars,,,, Ill bet you steering wheel isnt centered any more either,,

On the front axle,,,,, you need to relocate your panhard bar that runs from upper left to the axle on the passenger side with either an adjustable bar or a relocation bracket(cheapest way)

the sway bar ends must be within 10 degrees of level, so get disconnects made for a 4 in lift

you will need shims for the spring perches that increase your driveline angle and bring the castor back to the normal area

you will probably have to recenter your steering wheel with the adjustments on the drag link

with a 4 in lift you'r probably gonna need a drop pittman arm also

my sterring wheel is centered and i believe my track bar has been reloacted to make it level with the drag link it looks like the axels have been turned or maybe shimed so the drive line angle is not to steep maybe i should take it to a 4wd shop have everything lined up

You can do an alignment yourself, it's very easy.

just check to make sure you trac bar and drag link are parallel with each other. Make sure your tie rod ends are tight and that your ball joints are still good. i also advise you to check that your trac bar mounting hardware is tight too. i had my truck dart around after i had installed an over the knuckle system due to loose braketry.
