i have a lifted 89 yj with 33x 12,5s mudders what kind of tire pressure should i be running on the street at hyw speeds ive heard many poeple say lowering the pressure helps handling i lowered it to 28 and it now seems to shift the whole jeep side to side

What kind of tires exactly? Bias or radial? Im assuming you dont have much wieght in the jeep. 30 to 35psi is normal if they are radials. Most likely thats what you have

Driving them on the street too low and they'll wear unevenly, you'll get worse mileage and they can overheat (i.e. blowout.) Here's some ideas to figure out what pressure you should run them at. http://www.jeephorizons.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1215&highlight=credit+card

if it wears more on the outside pump them up , to much on the inside let some pressure out .

i would start around 35-40 and mess around from there , or ask the place were you bought them from .
