i got this idea from another post and it got me thinking. there was a post about using diamond plating on rear quarters and someone replied wiht a link showing you how to do it but only on the rear qurter panels.
I was wondering if you would be able to do it underneath the doors as well, i dont see why not and thats the worst part on my xj so it coudl act as a quick fix and it actually looks pretty neat. So jsut asking if it would work? thx for replies

thats not my jeep , i cut out my rotted pannels 2 days ago and welded in new ones .

i would like to put diamond plate on the bottom of my jeep , i think it looks good my dad thinks it just looks like im trying to hide rust . hahaha .

you could cover rot with it , just use lots of pannel glue and rivets maybe .

Sorry been away awhile. They were added for looks/damage protection. As stated earlier, the plase that made them is no more. However if you are using AL, a standard mech shop brake should make the bends. They are attached with 1/8' pop rivets and wheatherstriping glue(anything that won't harden) I hope that helps. If you need more PM me off list and I'll help you as best I can. Smile
