Greetings All!
My name is Jay and I live in Sunny SoCal. I've been off roading for since I was a teenager, but his is my first experience with a Jeep.
I bought a '91 YJ, 4.0L, 5spd AX-15 w/NP231 trans case. Dana 30 front end w/Powertrax locker, Dana 44 rear w/Detroit locker. It had a coil spring conversion done along with a custom driveline. 4" spring lift plus a 3" body lift (not so wild about that). I found later that the guy I bought it from had his heart in the right place, but his head was somewhere else and I've been spending a lot of time lately just getting it into wheeling shape (major tune, smog, etc) and having the suspension set up (it was never done to begin with).
I'm used to japanese trucks as that's pretty much what I've owned to wheel, but I have to say that the Jeep is WAY easier to work on than anything I've worked on so far.
Anyway, I imagine I'll be asking TONS of stupid questions in the future, so I'll apologize in advance. |

Welcome... If the way my jeep performs is any indication then I am sure you will love yours. |

Well,
Here are a couple of pics prior to me buying it. I haven't taken too many since I've been working on it, but will be doing that soon.
And the Jeep (took the gas can off)

Yeah, it was a bad thing!
Now I just have the holes left where the guy drilled the carrier into the body. |
