my back rear shackles seem to have a little bit of stress marks on them and the welds seem weak...i want to upgrade and im willing to spend the money on some revolvers...so i think

there only 50 more dollars that the shackles i have and add "more flex" says the manufactor

who has them and what do they think...ive read great reviews...and ive read horrible reviews... i have heard off added flex...but can cause the axle to unload on hills....what do you guys think

I don't have any experience with these, but have you seen the link to this guy's site?

http://behold-the-rage.com/jeep_page_13.html

That link is to the section of his review of Tereflex Shackles. He has nothing but good to say about them. Of course there are those who say they were designed by the anti-Christ!

The problem with the revolver shackles is they can unload leaving you with no traction for the rear tires. So if all your truly concerned about is RTI score then they can help. However if you are looking for added offroad capability, i would stay away from them. Just my .02 cents.

R/E boomerang shackles work pretty well

I read an article in Fourwheeler or Peterson's (can't remember which) that listed revolver shackles in their list of top 15 dumbest 4x4 inventions. I believe their reasoning was that the shackles make your rear axle wrap worse, which makes blowing u-joints much easier. They said a boomerang shackle is a much better way to go. Now, if you used a revolver shackle and had an anti-wrap bar... just a thought.
