Hey guys. I just picked up a 92 Cherokee for a winter ride. For the price i paid there wasnt to many problems worth worrying about. My main issue at the moment is the cluster. As of right now only 3 of 6 guages are working. Right now the temp, battery, and oil pressure guage are working. Currently the speedo, tach, and gas guages are inop. the Gas guage is pinned to full but the low fuel light is on. Could anyone hook me up with any suggestions on where to start solving this problem or problems?

Send the think to Speedometer services in Roswell Ga
And have them fix it. About $140.00-$200.00 bucks.
I had mine done buying parts I didnt need. Speedo quit bought a speed sensor . Cant return it out of $60.00. I was told 91-95 had problems.
Most salvage yards sell the 96 my with very little problem.
Used about $65.00 and up.

The 1996 should work just fine. I have a 1996 I put in my 1991.
I would sell it but I have used parts from it for my 1988.

might want to grab an instrument cluster while you're there--would be nice if that simple swap fixed your problems

Pull the cluster and hook a jumper from the ground on the back of the cluster to some bare metal under the dash, see if there is a diff. A lot of 91's do have this prob.

Off the top of my head I forget. Looking down on the cluster from the front it would be on the left side above the harness.
It is not a prong it is a screw in the printed circuit board, I believe it is marked "GRND" or has the elec. symbol for ground.
