Some Tellico Trails closing for at least a year.

Just saw this on VA4WDA.

Basically they are closing Trail 2,7,8, and 9 for a year then taking a another look. Also implementing a Winter closing of Upper Tellico.

While I have never been there it was a top spot on the list for this upcoming year and it is somewhat disappointing. They also mention they got more letters requesting the trails be closed as opposed to letters requesting reapirs and reroutes, about 700 to 400.

Hopefully this really is just a year thing and doesnt become permanent.
