A fellow GC owner I know is wondering if its nessasary to do the slip yoke change on a 231 if he isn't going to be doing any lift mods or any off-roading? I know he sounds like a real pussy, and he is but anywho he is a good man and his TC is well on its way out and I would like to help him out. By doing the swap as cheap as possible. Any factual info and/or opinions are good too! Thank in advance!!!!

No, you do not have to install a Slip Yoke Eliminator when you do the swap.
Is that what you're talking about?

You'll probably need a differant length drive line.

It worked on mine without installing a Slip Yoke Elim. I have a 94 ZJ and a 93XJ 231 TC. I had to swap the input shaft and replaced the front output yoke. I can't remember where I bought the yoke.
