I just got two brand new Garage Pro Reclining racing seats with the 4 point harness'. After I took out all of the seats and carpet, so i can herculine it, I opened the seats to find no instructions or mounting brackets. The new seats don't match up to the originals, I think that I need to fab some brackets and drill new holes in the floor. Called the company and that is just how it comes, and they had no suggestions.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Any advice?

Corbeau is the only aftermarket seat manufacturer I know of that supports Cherokee and they only have manual conversion brackets.

Reading the JC Whitney page:

Quote:
Fits either driver or passenger side. Built-in slots for racing belt harness (racing belt harness sold separately). Includes sliding adjusters. Seat mount from bottom and includes "slider" brackets to adjust front to rear seat placement. These sliders will fit any existing or aftermarket seat floor mounting bracket with 13-5/8" wide bolt hole to bolt hole but may require some bracket modifications and/or drlling. If vehicle does not have exisiting seat bracket, a floor mounted bracket will have to be fabricated.

I see fab work in your future...

i bought some mint leather seats out of a 94 country for my 99 sport, and had a similar problem, there was no way to swap the frames or make it easy, i just had to bite the bullet and drill holes in the floor with some of the heaviest bolts i could find at the hardware store, they seem to be pretty stirty in there, i was worried about the thin floorboard, but they're fine. also used some of those rubber washers for garden hoses to be sure of no leakage, but depending on how seriously you wheel, the stock holes for the stock seats can make a perfect place for some drain plugs.
