By the way thanks for the tech page on how to do this. I have a Haynes manual but it didn't mention anything about the power rail removal. (Not that it's tough, but I didn't want to just start yanking on something I thought should come off)

While changing the spark plug I put it in, hand tightened it, and felt like I cross threaded it. So, I took it back out all the way. The new spark plug that only barely went in is extremely dirty. I'm not sure if it's the threads or when it's in the cylinder, but it's black, and worst the stuff is gritty (sandy).

Any ideas on how to clean this?

Thanks,
Joey

What exactly is dirty? The threads on the plug or the tip?
