Hey all, today I cranked my wheel all the way to back out of the driveway and when centering the wheel I felt and heard a crunch noise. Right after, my airbag light popped on. Anyone else had this issue? I'm assuming that either the clock spring broke or a wire got caught and disconnected. I had a similar issue on a 96 Caravan which was the clockspring, Chryco replaced it because there was a safety recall. Thoughts?

I took the rear cover off the steering column today, the issue must be the clockspring because everything else looks fine and it is the only point of motion. I guess I'll have to order one soon. Oh joy!

Hello, I replaced the clockspring to fix the issue in the original post. I got it for $104 including shipping. To do the job you need an 8mm & 21mm socket, a philips screwdriver, a puller and an impact gun is very helpful. I have more details and pictures at the bottom of my website including where I purchased it from. http://home.myfairpoint.net/m_levesque/mikessite/id2.html
