I am looking at converting my 98 TJ to disc brakes. I was wondering if anyone out there has use the disc brakes off of a ZJ? I have found a complete system off of a ZJ with a 44. I know the axles are different but I am wondering if I can use the brake hardware as a direct bolt on or do I need to make mods to make it work. My TJ has a 44 in it as well. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Yup...it's a direct bolt-on. Make sure you get the parking brake cables from the ZJ as well.

You'll also need to get different retaining plates for your D44 shafts. This requires new bearings and bearing retainers for your shafts.

No. You don't need to remove the O-ring either.

Yep its pretty easy. Heres what I did for my D35. You dont have to pull the C-clips or anything, but its an easy process.
