I was looking around my Jeep today, seeing what will need to be fixed in the spring and I find a couple holes in my rocker panels. Ugh, this thing isn't that old. My 00 Honda has zero rust on it. So, any suggestions on the best fix for this or an aftermarket add on? The Grand Cherokee I used to have had plastic covers that helped protect the rockers.

i recently replaced the rocker on my driver side , i chose to cut out the spot welds on the bottom , cut below the line above the top of the rocker and fully weld in a new piece i took off another Cherokee i had and scrapped . you can buy replacements for like 100$

i wont do the passenger side , honestly i chased lines up my vehicle 6 inches . it looks fine but im just going to sell my Cherokee and buy a truck . before i sell it if it opens up on the pass side i will fill it with spray foam and bondo over top , will probably last longer then a weld in piece anyway .

i would just shoot the shit out of it with bed liner . some people put aluminum over the rockers .

learn to live with it , weld in a new piece , cover it up , or just make it look good and sell it .

i don't totally hate body work and have a lot of body tools but the cherokee is just a thin little can and hard to work with .

i would just cover it up . probably wont bother you
