My stock CD player in my TJ has seen better days...

I don't want to put an aftermarket head unit in because the top and doors are off most of the time... so a stock HU is what I wanna stick with so i don't have to worry about it getting stolen

Is the radio in a WK grand cherokee DIN and a half size or double DIN?

thanks!

Not sure about the standard head units, but ours has the 'premium' option (no nav, but better HU and speakers) and just to look at it, I don't think there'd be any way to adapt it to a TJ. From what I read back in the day the wiring harness is gonna be completely different too. I'll do some digging and see what I can come up with if no one else pops in before hand.

Thanks keith! I was hoping the harness was still the same -wrong! I was hoping to get one of the factory 5 disc head units to stick in my junk!

Yeah, still there....actually just took a voluntary layoff, but we'll see how long that lasts. Did a bit more digging and it seems that the harnesses are interchangeable with the newer models, Commander, Patriot, Compass, etc. You still wheel the TJ? I still haven't gotten my new junk trail ready yet, but I'm hoping to soon....shit for the JK's are pricey Rolling Eyes .

I'm trying to find out if they make an adaptor to put the newer style radio to the older (02 and earlier) harness.

can you measure the face of the radio in the WK? Thanks

nice -ya get to spend more time with the girls.

I've been laid off since November first... and the only "Digital Imaging Specialist*" jobs I'm finding are in Manhattan or around the city... so I'm gonna try the self-employment route -Lining up freelance work to do at home.

It's been over a year since I've been out! Not much time since I bought this house. Let's try to get out this spring! I'll be takin it easy since It's been a long time.

I haven't even worked on the heep -i still have everything to do a flat belly skid, a HP30 in the garage and a bunch of tubing to add to the cage- oh well javascript Sad

*Digital Imaging Specialist = photoshop whore.

I'll take some measurements and snap a pic when she gets home from work this evening. Sucks about work man, the LV is just becoming a transit hub for NYC anymore. Ya can always hook up with Kevin and crash with him, he's in Hoboken and does the train into the city gig....sure there's plenty of room in his closet, err apartment Mr. Green .

If you guys are gonna wheel and take it easy, let me know. I haven't been out in a real long time and don't want to trash the Unlimited...to be honest.

I just need to coordinate with my work schedule when I get a weekend off (unless you guys want to go out during the week).

That's about what I'm up for...easy day out since I haven't wheeled since sometime in early '04. I'll give a shout when I get my shit ready and we can make plans.

No. I'm on the regular platoon schedule now. I only make the drive about 3 times a week as opposed to 5.

3 on, 3 off. alternate between 10hr days and 14hr nights with each group of 3 on.

I love it though. Doesn't even seem like work.
