stripped bolts

so i was trying to remover the torx bolts on the windshield bracket to put on my mirror relocaters and the bolts are stripped, i tried using on of those stripped screw removers but that didnt work and was only stripping them more. is there anything i can do to get them out??? thanks

Drill them out with a bit just slightly smaller than the shank of the bolt. Then chase the threads with a tap. Get new bolts.

I'm willing to bet you didn't have enough leverage either when you tried to remove them. The result is you end up twisting the torx bit and stripping the head of the bolt. Use lots of leverage and hold the bit steady in the bolt with the other hand. I've never had a problem doing the torx bolts like this.

or if you have a welder or a friend with one , weld a washer on top of the torque then weld a nut on top of the washer , put on a wrench and be done . some times a impact gun with torque sockets work's good .
