Connected my scan tool to my '94 YJ 2.5 L, 4 cyl. to find the tool not sensing the computer (Error message = Tool not connected to vehicle). This was after battery has been disconnected for some time (4 months or so). Battery was slow-charged for several days prior to trying to diagnose/pull codes. This engine will crank, but won't fire and is, of course, OBDI.

The questions are these: Does this mean the computer is DOA or just a part of it? Electrical connections all seem to be good. Anywhere else to look? Any way to easily test boneyard units?

Thanks in advance for any help.
