My YJ Hard Top has no interior liner so in the hot months it gets VERRRRY warm driving in the desert. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON KOOOOLING DOWN THE DRIVE HOME besides taking off the top. The BIKINI top is great when playing but the drive to work is over an hour each way. rofl

........sorry, I couldn't resist...

Here are a couple of links to some products that might work:

http://www.swampy.net/auto.html

http://www.kooleraire.com/News.htm

I have no personal knowledge of these, good or bad, I just was able to google the info.

In the 50s, there were swamp coolers that you simply used by rolling the window up to hold the unit outside and the forward motion of the car forced air through the unit and cooled the inside. This is a picture of one on a VW:

I could find no references to a modern version of these..........

Off course swamp coolers only work in dry hot climates and not in areas of higher humidity.

The other obvious solution is to just install AC.

dynamat will stop the heat if you dont mind the looks. but it also comes from the floor too. I have a 2000 zr2 blazer /w bedlinered floor and it is hot as heck. most of your heat might actually be coming from your floor if you heva carpet you might actually be able to cover all the dynomat
