I just want to do the back because the fender flares make the back look like it sits lower. Its not actually any lower, it just looks like it. So i am thinking about putting a 2" lift on the back. If i do: 1, how hard is it? 2, will i need to replace the shocks and break lines? I would like to get the block lift like they have at advance auto. Its just a couple of 2" steel blocks with U bolts to hold them on. Are these good?

You'd be better off with lift shackles. Blocks and cherokee leafs do not work well together.

Changing the rear shackles is not that hard for any shade-tree mechanic (but only if you don't live in the rust belt). But, the fact that you are asking what shackles are multiplies the difficulty factor a bit.

Here are a couple of photos to clarify...

A rear 1.75" lift shackle on a 1998 Cherokee (The shackle is that thing hanging the leaf spring in the top middle of the photo):

A stock photo of an extended shackle (and front coil spacers) for a Jeep Cherokee:

I hope this helps. This would be a much more proper way to get a little extra height in the back than lift blocks... especially with the Cherokees' soft rear springs that tend to wrap a lot under throttle.
