i have a 1985 jeep cherokee and when its is running and the head lights are on i have like no volts and when i turn on the turn signals the lights dimm with the turn signals! and when i hit the brakes its the same thing!! and after i have been driving for a while and i shut it off and go to start it a couple mins after and it doesnt wanna start like the battery is low!! if anyone has advice for my problems it would help me alot!!

Sounds like either your alternator or connections are crapping out.

Take the alternator to get tested if you can't find any bad connections.

I have had that happen before on one vehicle, where it turned out to be the starter that was bad, and not the alt.

i think my starter is starting to go out!!
it squals sometimes when i go to start it

prolly , replace your grounds from battery to engine and check ground strap from head to firewall.

ya i just figured it out it was the ground sprap from the firewall to the back on the block, its wasnt hooked up at all i got a new ground strap and everything works just fine thanks for all you help!!
