Is it possible to soften the suspension. I don't use my Jeep off road except for the occasional trip accross a field with a trailer tent.
I'd like a bit less 4x4 and a bit more Chelsea Tracter.

I can find a lot of stiffer/lifted springs but no softer ones.

Get the rancho 9 way adjustable shocks this was you can control damping in different weather conditions. I have them and they are no doubt the best

Why buy a Porshe if you don't race it?

I wanted a safe and reliable vehicle with enough room for my two dogs, wife and child.
The Jeep was cheap, good looking and solid with a high riding position.

It ticks almost all the boxes on my list, plus a few extras.

Life in England is quite different to the US. There are very few place you can go with a 4x4 vehicle and it is difficult to get more than an hours walk from some form of civilisation. I'd guess only about 10% of off-road vehicles in this country ever go off road.

The percentage of 4x4's taken off road is probably even lower here in the states. That being said, I'd have to 2nd the OME stuff...if only shocks. I run them on both the XJ and TJ. Great response off road, but better than factory ride on the road. Or so has been my experience on both rigs.
