I guess that's not the best subject line I've ever come up with but, I need some answers from some more experienced Jeepers than I am. I have a 90 XJ with the 4.0. The proublem that I am having is that I have spark coming from the ignition coil but, I'm not gettng any fire in the plugs.

I changed the distributor (new reman unit) and got no change. I tested the igntion control module and it test fine. I tried to start it in both Neutral and in Park to see if that made any changes.

I'm really stumped here so if you have any ideas I would certainly be gratefull.

Thanks,

Cody

So of the 63 people that have looked at this post no one has any ideas. I don't feel so bad for not having the answer. LOL Rolling Eyes

When you changed dist did it come with new cap and rotor or did you reuse your old one? If you have spark at coil and not at plugs I would check that you have normal voltage at battery terminal in distributer with the key on. If not you will have to test this wire back to ign switch. Good luck and i hope this helps. Rick

Turned out that the flywheel was bad and not turning the crank. Still in the process of pulling the tranny. What fun..............
