i just bought a 92 laredo the factory plug has been cut and i need to know what wires are what. i think i have found my hot wires but have no clue on the others. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
to identify speaker wires take a 12 volt AAA battery and run it across the wires this will get you your speaker channels and tell you which ones they are be it front back or side. When you get a pair youll know it as it will make a hissing sound from the juice of the battery. This is a time tested method and it has always worked great for me. First you need to identify any hot wires with ignition on and off using a volt metter. get them out of the way and then test the rest. Constant 12 v goes to red and yellow gets ignition I beleive. if not reverse them. This should be enough to get most steroes in
