I did a little experiment today. The first pic is of my TJ with the sway bar connected, notice how the rear is flexed pretty good, the front axle is on a berm and the body is forced to move with the axle limiting front travel.

The next pics are with the sway bar dis-connected, you can see the the body is much flatter to the horizon, and the front tire is stuffed in to the wheel well. this pic was taken on the same berm, just on the opposite side.

Driving up the berm disconnected also felt more stable, and noticeably easier to go up the berm.

Flexing....

I drove around the block disconnected just to see how much body roll there was, and it was significant, I'd say the body roll was similar to a SCORE desert race truck, and felt unstable on road.
The other thing I noticed is, the popping noise that happens when the suspension flexes a little was not present, the rubber bushings that are in the end links are worn.
