ok, it's time for a mod on my jeep, and I need some armor, here's my plan first I'll go with the steering box skid plate
here's one from warn 3/16 steel

Here is truck Master(never heard of them, but it doesn't have to hook up to the bumper) only 1/4 steel, any good?

And then the skid row one which is 3/16 steel.

Warn is the cheapest, but I want to know if it can mount to any bumper?

Then next will be the engine skid plate, and I think I'm going with the warn one, just because it is $100 cheaper.

I have a Warn skid - think I put a review on the projects page. I don't think it would fit very well with tube bumpers. The truckmaster skid is made of 1/4" steel and one side is not boxed. Not sure how well it would hold up.

The Skid Row Steering box skid bolt's to the frame using the single bottom bolt, don't know if this is accessable on a tube bumper.

The Skid Row and Kilby steering box skids are virtually identical. I would recommend either one. Don't know if the Warn is similar too.

Either one of the 3 should work fine with any bumper with a flat bottom. I doubt ARBs, tube bumpers, or anything else irregular would work with any of those 3.

Ive got my eye on a kilby because so far I have heard nothing, but good things about them and at a discount to boot. Of course if anybody has anything bad about them I would like to hear it. Wink
