My front axle feels like it is loose... what I mean is that when I put it in reverse....go slow and hit brakes, it feels like the axle slips a little..like physically moves forward.. also, on bumpy roads it kind of clunks around a little. I have newer Rubicon LCAs... could this be my stock UCAs?? What else could it possibly be? Thanks guys! _________________ '99 XJ Sport

I run WJ lower arms and stock Cherokee uppers currently. The WJ LCA's are great, but the upper arms developed a clunk on the drivers side. I pulled the arm off, replaced the bushing and all was great...for about a month. Then it started squeaking and clunking again. I need some CA Drop Brackets to straighten everything up, I suspect that will help with the clunks too. Just my thoughts. |

Try checking your track bar mount on the unibody frame rail. Mine will loosen from time to time. Causes a clunking or popping when it gets loose. Mostly when I'm backing up and turning at the same time. Hope this helps _________________ "Life is not a practice run." |
