Come on now, post some pics of your CBs and where you chose to mount them, etc..

Edit: Almost forgot - need some pics of your antennas mounted as well and any of where you ran anything..

I'm resurrecting this one. Here's the new setups in our rigs.

Hers (TJ) - Cobra 18 WXST II - 4' Firestick II antenna is mounted to the tire carrier (a ground wire was required) and the RG-8 pretty much runs along the roll bars to the Tuffy console where the CB is. Power is tapped directly from the fuse box and runs along the roll bar as well. SWR at channel 20 is just under 1.2:

Mine (XJ) - Cobra 29 NW Classic - 4' Firestick II antenna is mounted via a door jamb mount to the rear of the passenger side quarter panel right above the tail light (no additional grounding required). The RG-8 runs under the pass. side interior molding, then between the headliner and roof to the factory overhead console where the CB is mounted. Power is tapped directly from the overhead console. SWR at channel 20 is just over 1.2:

Post up peeps!

Well, okay. These pics didn't turn out worth beans...but it'll give you an idea of what I did in my TJ. It's just a peaked and tweaked old Uniden Pro510 w/ D104. I run a variety of antennas on the ball mount. 102" SS whip, 5' Tiger, 4' Tiger, Wilson 2000 Trucker, and whatever else I have here. Depends on where I'm going to wheel at, or travel to.

I run a modified older (Uniden I/O board) Cobra 148GTL with other stuff in my DD. Way too big a radio for the TJ though.
Wink
