I've used both a bar of soap and wax with no problems - good to know about the Napa lube though.

When it comes to lube, KY Jelly and Astroglide work great Finger

I use WD-40 and a shop rag to catch the dripping oil. It works well for me.

I just used some bike chain lube (Ice Wax, White Lightning) because I had it around. Wow...big difference. I had tried wax in the past with not-so-great results. This was easier to work with too.

I found some zipper/snap lube at the local Gander Mountain

Works great and it sure does last, even with gravel roads
