Anybody know if there is or will be a RHD Jeep long wheel base available & when/where? Will RHD be available in the new 2007 model?

I don't know if there's a RHD Unlimited and if there isn't already, there won't be. As for your second question, yes.

Maybe I haven't heard, and I know that I've never seen one but, Why don't they sell the diesel Wranglers in the United States?
One would think with the growing popularity of diesel powered vehicles in the U.S., D.C. would make them available, not to mention the diesel's torque output would benefit it's off road performance greatly, plus the added fuel mileage.
My suggestion, Throw the same Cummins turbo diesel thatís in the Ram into the Wrangler, that would be a real nice combo.

Seems like I heard some long convoluted podcast that mentioned higher emission standards in the US - that would be my guess why it's not offered (yet.) If DC masters their Bluetec program it might fly.

That engine sounds like it might be a good combo for the Wrangler, but, they were pretty vague in it's description, no mention of displacement or of a turbo / supercharger of any type, and diesels without any type of forced induction tend to be dogs, at least from my experience. Also, no mention of fuel mileage. It seems the main selling point is itís cleanliness. Don't get me wrong, A clean burning engine is a necessity to our environment, but I also want it to get out of itís own way when called upon.

2007 Wrangler RHD will be offered in the Wrangler X. The Unlimited in the Wrangler will be the four door Wrangler, and no, it will not be offered in RHD. However, if you look at the spec and dimensions on the 2006 Wrangler Unlimited, and the 2007 Wrangler X, you will see that they are nearly identical in storage behind the seats, so in a round about way, yes, the 2007 Wranlger RHD will have lots more room in it.
Any other questions, feel free to give me a call.

I was told by Jeep representatives that while the '07 is already rolling out into showrooms, the RHD model won't be available untill early 2007, possibly in January, and it will only be available in the 2-door, not the 4 door "unlimited" model. Too bad the unlimited in limited to left hand drive only. Unless the new wrangler is atleast as big as the 2006 unlimited as far as cargo volume goes I won't be buying one.
