I went to my local Jeep dealership yesterday and drove one...I DIDN'T LIKE IT. I thought I would love 'em but they are way too nice to take offroad in my opinion. I drove a 4x2 Unlimited with a hard top. The only thing I liked was how smooth the 6-speed manny was. I'd consider buying a 2-door 4x4, but I would probably stick to a late model TJ.

Well i just stopped at my local dealer, and i took the new 2007 Wrangler X, for a test drive, and i've got to say that im inpressed. That little 3.8 really kicks but compaired to my 2.4L, in my 04 Wrangler SE. The little 3.8 held its own on a hill, even in overdrive. Also had no problem while trying to pass another vehicle on a two lane road. So (I,M,H,O) the new Wrangler is a really kool jeep. crazy jeep

I feel your pain, I'm the same the way. Yeah it's Jeep but like any new car it's that first scratch or dent that bothers the hell of you. When I got my new Sahara a few years ago, I was cleaning and waxing it every weekend. I would not even dream of driving it through the mud.

I know, I know your reading this and saying what a pansy. But it's that first scratch that drives me crazy.

That new JK 4 door is hot hot hot, I think it's the ultimate convertible SUV. I saw one parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot today and just could not keep my eyes off it. Finally a Jeep Wrangler that you could say can be used to drive the kids to soccer practice, use to go to work, head over the Home Depot to pick up a new grill, do a little off road, and pack up the back with friend and head to the beach.

I would love to see how it affects the sales of the Hummer H3.

I gotts say I wasn't too happy about it when I first saw it, but I had some time to kill one day so I took a look at it. It turned out well.

It almost makes up for the fact that they don't have anything comparable to the XJ.
