hey, first off im pretty new to this site and its awesome! second, i have an 89' cherokee, 4.0L i6 automatic, and when i was driving around my school parking lot yesterday i was out in the back 40 in 4high going through some snow, and every half way decent sized bump i hit...it sounded as if something in the drivetrain was grinding or clunking..i've checked the u-joints all around and they appear to be OK...they dont have slop in them at all...oh and my jeep has about a 4" lift on it with a t-case drop...small drop but still a drop...anybody know what the clunk is?? appreciate any help

Welcome to the forum.

Just a guess, but I'd say check your tranny mount...and your motor mounts. One or more could be bad.
More info' would be helpful though.

The transmission mount attaches the tranny to the crossmember.

You might want to get a jack, support the drivetrain, and lower the crossmember to inspect the transmission mount.
