OK.. i sprayed the intake and throttle body with throttle body cleaner.. this was reccomended cuz its safer on plastic connections and sensors... the engine did not change at all.... im wondering now wat it could be.. my idler pulley seems fine to.. i took it off and cleaned the hell out of it.. its all good.... so wat now could be the couplrit? the super charger noise is still there... a high picted wine kinda like a bad ground on the sterio deck that rises in pitch and volume the higher the rpms... it is still wanting to stuter if i rev it jus a lil bit and let go real quick.. if i rev it up high and let off slow it will usually be fine.. thanks for any input guys!!!!

Electrically check your map sensor. Have you a got a Haynes manual? Great $15 investment. "Supercharger" noise could any bearing in any of your accessories, Alternator, water pump, A/C compressor......... I've used the long screwdriver trick. Take a long screwdriver (like 2 ft. long) and touch the working end to your accessory, near it's shaft. Then put your ear against the end of the BF screwdriver handle. BE CAREFUL WHERE YOUR HANDS AND YOUR HAIR ARE! We don't need lost fingers on this forum.. people can't spell well enough already Rolling Eyes The noise will be very obvious if you find it. Let us know.

The engine needs to be running.. You put the screwdriver near the moving component And put your ear to it.. Or you can pick up one of those mechanics stethescopes from Autozone or whatever..

The chiltons will help you figure out how to test the different sensors.. (IE TPS IAC . What have you...)

And I represent that remark about spellering. I wint to skool all the way to fif graid... rofl rofl

Try taking off your IAC (Idle Air Control) valve/sensor. Its right underneath the thottle body closer to the firewall. It'll take a Torx Screwdriver. Pull it out and look at it. The carbon on it will be black and powdery chunks. Use gumout or carb cleaner and spray it up good. Scrape as much off as possible and spray it good. Clean that and you throttle plates. Next check the other components (MAP as you did, and Air Filter, etc.) just to be sure. And to be on the safe side throw some dry gas into the tank.

I did the same on mine and the SOB cleared right up! Even if that's not the problem, it'll help later on down the road. Very Happy

As for the supercharger noise, I agree with the others it may be an accessory, but that'll be a metal squeal. Also check all your vacuum hoses (follow the diagram on the radiator), sometimes those will get louder with engine speed.

Good luck.

sweet man.. i will definately check in to all of that!!! im also gonna change my gaskets and oil jus to make her happy.. any one else run ROYAL PURPLE??? id love to hear some peoples opinion of it.. it sure is pricey!!!

ALSO maybe the super charger noise is a compression problem?? check it out.. my exuast broke at the catillitic in a way that id need a new catalitic converter.. i cruised around backfiring with out a muffler and loved how much louder it was.. so after talkin to some muffler exhuast specialists i decided to just cut off the catalitic maybe it had a u bolt either way and put on a cherry bomb turbo mufler where the catalitic shoulda been.. my stock pipe before it is badly dented restricting air flow.. ya know the one everyone dents until they get aftermarket exhaust... so im thinkn maybe this is not ideal for my lil beast?? any one agree?

Hmm...I doubt it. I would think the pipe would have to be near pinched to be that bad. And I doubt it would make a squel or high pitched noise. I ran a cutout on my exhaust for a while, that was so cool. But yeah it never stayed on and I had the pipe in all sorts of concoctions. I never even got a check engine light (cept when the O2 sensor wasn't in the port)
