Here's some pics of my bumper chop. As you can see the part that was removed was getting mangled anyway. I think it looks way better too!

I've got 31 MTs and they rub a little on the track bar at full lock but I have inspected the track bar and the tire and there is no damage to either.

Yes 31's will fit with budget boost.. (Thats what BB means..)

This picture shows 31X10.5 MTR's on stock rims I adjusted the steering stop a tiny bit. (Maybe 1/4" an there was no rubbing...)

I actually ran 33X12.5 on those stock rims for about 3 months.. They worked fine but I could not air down.. OR the tire would pop right off the rim.. Mr. Green

wow have not been on here in awhile...sorry Smile

ok so now the funds are back and i need some def answers please

rims: 15x8.5 crager 397

tires: 31x10.5x15
unless you have any other mt's that will see mostly street and a few snow trips

lift: budget boost 2"

is this gonna be good enough? this will be 95% street and 5% light offroad ie snow and maybe an anthill or two

Unless you're going for looks, have you looked at more of an all terrain tire? You'd probably get more mileage out of it than a mud tire.

mostly looks bc i will barely use it for snow ie. 5-10 trips a year at most. i know an a/t would get more mileage, so what would you suggest?

i like the bridgestone dueler a/t revo

I too bought the 2" rocky road outfitters budget boost coil spacers. I had that installed at the same time as my heavy duty Old Man Emu suspension kit. Now I've got 235/85R16 (measure out to 32") The OME kit gives me between 1.25" and 1.75 inches for a full lift of 3.25" to 3.75". I've had the bumpstops extended but the tires still rub at full stuff. I also had to get the front swaybar links replace since they snapped about a week after I got everything installed so I replaced them with JKS disconnects. I like the ride but it's annoying to hear the tires rubbing whenever I hit a bump or make a sharp turn at speed.

that is why i am trying to stick with just a 2" budget lift bc i dont want to do all those things you had to do. i dont want to deal with swaybars, but i read the budget lift will be all i need right?

You'll have to get longer bumstops if you run 31's on a 2" lift. Unless the rubbing doesn't bother you.

Just a thought...Will some 31"x9.5 tires rub? Im almost thinking they would tuck under the fender without rubbing.

I am running 31" tires right now without any lift. They rub the LCA's at full lock turns, but they don't touch the fenders at all. Note though that these are half worn tires; I guess it is possible that new tires might just touch. I got the rims with the tires and I'm not sure of their exact dimensions, but they look very similar to the factory rims as far as width and backspacing is concerned.

Do you take it off road? 31's with no lift has got to have the tire stuffed into the wheelwell when on level ground. Show us a pic. Mr. Green

31's will usually hit the flares or front bumper just when turning. Any type of offroading will usually make the tire rub inside at the top of the wheelwell.

I ran 31X10.50's on a stock ZJ, I had to trim 1/2" off the inside lip of the front bumper and adjust the steering stops. I only put the tire into the rear inner wheel well one time with minor paint loss, if he's just using it as a DD and not taking it off road he shouldn't have a problem.
