I have never been fond of marker lights with orange lens on them. So, I got some clear markers for my ZJ. I decided to go ahead and get rid of the fogged up headlights while I was at it. Then threw on some new foglights and put some strobes in my headlights (you know, so other drivers see me when we are off road Wink ). Here a few pictures of the afternoon project.

Nice, the guy who had my jeep before me put some clear signal lights on the front. So now there is no orange anything up front on my jeep.

I know its a stupid question but did you have to align your new headlights when you put it all back together?

Nice. Yours looks really good too.

I was in a hurry to get mine back together because I had to get it ready to go to work the next day, so I didn't align my headlights up the way they are supposed to be. I still need to do that. It is a little bit annoying the way these lights are set up. I will get around to adjusting it one of these days. Maybe... Rolling Eyes lol

I have better pictures of these on my other computer, but you can kind of see the taillights I put on mine too. Clear lens - minus orange there too.

Those tailights look nice, I was thinking about getting some with smoke lenses. I was also just thinking about getting the silver, opening them up and painting the chrome parts white so it matches the rest of my jeep.

I have been thinking about getting those type of fog lights for illuminating the ground right under the nose of my jeep because I found out that nothing is as worrying as going down a trail at night and coming to a deep "abyss" on the trail and not knowing how shaprly it drops off.

By the way, what brand headlights are yours?

I wanted the smoke colored tail lights but all my friends talked me out of it because they thought it would look better with the chrome/clear lights on such a light colored vehicle. I am still wondering if I made the right choice with those. Oh well.

Did you wire the lights up you have on your roof rack? I would like to put some on mine soon. I just didn't really want to tackle the project of running the wires up there. Having the low foglights definitely helps in some areas, but isn't quite enough on some trails.

The chrome dosen't look bad its just not my favorite color.

The wiring wasn't too hard to do. I was amazed that it worked on the first try but I just got a switch with a cool little blue LED so I can tell if the lights are on when the covers are on. I always accidently hit switches in my Jeep al the time.

I don't have them hooked up perminantly so I just got trailer hitch hook up and run it out the window when I go wheeling. That way I can just unhook them and then roll the window up.

I got my pimp lights at wal mart. Figure if I break them I don't have to worry about spending a ton of cash to get some new ones.

On a side note:
Fox, I'm doing a project for one of my classes and me and another guy in class want to GPS some off road trails so will need someone who knows some other trails and I typically never go jeeping by myself. This is still a little down the line and hasn't really been approved. But if you could make it sometime it would be awesome.

Anyway, I'm done hiesting the post.

1fox2go, the seller I got the lights from is am-autoparts and the auction title was 96 97 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Head Light Lamp Set Pair. If you do a search for "grand cherokee head light" it should pop up with all the years and you can also whittle it down to your year. That seller shipped mine pretty fast with no problems on the transaction.

The green you see is the green strobe I have installed in the head light. No tint on it. I also have green bulbs in the turn signals below the head light.
