I just put a deposit down on a 1988 Jeep Comanche 4.0l today!(pick it up on Monday) I am really excited and have a few questions, as well. It has the Rubicon Factory Suspension which gave it around a 3 inch lift. So, I plan on getting the American Racing 767 wheels with 31 inch on/off road tires. Where would be the best place to purchase these two items and what sizes? Also, what on/off road tire does everyone recommend? There is also about a 6 inch by 4 inch rust spot on the drivers side floor board. Is this common in Mj's and what would be the best way to go about fixing it? Thanks

Looks to be in nice shape. Not sure about the tires but the rust is pretty common for this age. You may have water leaking in from the firewall area. Does it smell a little musty, bolts that hold down the seats rusty? If it's on the corner behind the tire it may be from road salt, can't tell where you are from but it happens here.

BTW, is that Bubba doing the jump?

There is actually a hole in the carpet which was probably done by a ladies high heel or a cowboy boot maybe...I am guessing the hole developed then on a rainy day when whomever got in the car had water on their shoes then it got under the carpet and started to rust. I talked to my grandpa and he said it should be a pretty easy fix. So it should be all ok and yea the thing is in perfect condition! I'll get some more pics up tomorrow.

HaHa, yup that's Bubba, my love is riding but Jeeps are fun too.
