Hello all. Great site. You guys helped me out before. Here's my problem. When cold the engine idles low and rough (approx. 450rpm). Usually i just hold the gas till it warms up. But when in high gear on the highway or uphill the engine has no midrange power. If I drop it into 3rd on auto tran it picks right back up. Had lots of problem last year with the ignition system, but a new TS, ISS, and distributer fixed that. cap and rotor are ok not great, plugs I regapped, and wires are ok. Any help will be great.

i run into that problem on the highway alot, i dont think anything of it... if i really want to get up and go uphill in midrange rpms i just put the pedal to the floor. i never thought it was a problem, just lack of midrange power.

with the idoling problem, mine idols at about 850 so i cant help you out there.

think I got the Idle Problem. Seems when the ISS motor was changed, the dippy that did it forgot to put the spring inside the unit into the recess on the disc. Therefore it got stuck to the seat and backed out. Took two days to set it right, and the wrench monkey got a piece of my mind. No more shops for my baby. I'm doing it all myself. tool
