Ready for some wet fun!!!!!



August 19, 2007


1. All fish must be caught using hook and line on the James River between the ramps at Cartersville and Westview. This tournament is governed by the honor system. Itís for fun. Bring your son, daughter, wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, grandfather, grandmother, etc. Have fun.

2. Tournament will abide by all of the rules and regulations of the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. Know the slot limit for smallmouth. Get a rulebook and read it. The Game Warden has been known to visit.

3. Tournament times are from sun-up until 3:00 PM. Time is kept by the tournament officials.

4. All fish to be weighed must be registered with the tournament weigh-in official by 3:00 PM. Weigh-in will occur at the Westview boat ramp. Please try to keep fish alive for possible release. Donít be late.

5. Tournament will be held rain or shine, unless weather and/or river conditions make it unsafe to proceed. The decision to postpone the tournament will be made by the tournament officials the day before the tournament, and all possible attempts will be made to contact the participants by phone to advise them of a postponement and to give the rescheduled date.

6. Prize categories: (all fish judged by weight with length used as a tie breaker). A drawing for door prizes will be at the Westview ramp directly after the weigh-in and winners award presentation.

Largest Smallmouth $50.00 Largest Bluegill $30.00

Largest Catfish $20.00 Largest Trashfish $10.00

Registrations postmarked or in the hands of Frank Overbey by August 3, 2007 will be $13.00 and receive a tournament t-shirt. All registrations postmarked after August 3, 2007 and/or received prior to August 19, 2007, will be $13.00 but will not receive a t-shirt. All registrations on the day of the tournament will be $16.00 and will not receive a t-shirt. No current t-shirts will be available on the day of the tournament. Late registration will take place the morning of the tournament at the Cartersville ramp until 7:30 AM. Please fill out one registration per person.

Some people are like slinkeys, theyíre not of much use but they will still bring a smile to your face if someone pushes them down the stairs.
