I have seen them and liked them before but I read somewhere they did not perform very well... Then again it was awhile ago so maybe I was thinking of something else.

The TSLs have much vibration or are they OK? (I don't mind noise on road and even a little vibration... I just don't want it to be bad enough to like.. Shake stuff apart)

Oh yeah: I like them even though they don't have a whole lot on the sidewalls because they have huge voids for mud on the edges but they still have some cuts runing legthwise rather than just accross the tire (to bette get out of ruts and stuff)

I balanced mine, one time, and it took a lot but no vibes. I have since then lost one of the larger lugs because my fenders cut it and a rock ripped it off, still no vibes, blew a bead and didn't re balance, still no vibes

I say they perform damn well. I don't see how anyone could say they don't.

Someone told me "If Noah's ark had tires, they'd be TSL's"

As for road noise, they are loud

I will say that they don't like to be run at high psi. High being 25 or so psi. I run them around 8 psi off road. They are bias ply so they are stiff, that being said is why such a low psi is needed. I noticed that at 30 psi and a wet road if you aren't careful you can spin them over easy.

I mentioned I blew a bead. It was a funny story, no pressure gauge and just dropping psi. If I had to guess I would say they were at 2-3 psi and no bead locks.

Choosing tires is a matter of preference and a lot on driving style, Berk swears on the Baja claws but his driving style differs a lot from mine

Well... Since I have only used shitty tires I guess TSLs sound like a good place to start.. Next time I buy tires maybe I will try something different.

They also have the TSL SX which has the sidewall bite that you are looking for

BFG Krawlers do as well

not many tires have what your looking for tho....

My best advice is to ask around, watch different tires in action

*drools*

Oooo Nice.

Of course they are 15.5 wide? What sort of wheels would I need to run those? Obviously wider is better as far as perfomance goes but it seems like i might have to trim a ton and use some huge ass spacers to make them fit.
