The fuel level indicator on my 2000 xj cherokee sport works on about 4 out of five starts. Occasionally though, my truck will start up indicating (falsely) an empty tank, with the pin below E and the gas pump icon lit.

How do I remedy this misleading indicator?

Is it tied into the same circuit that allows the passengers' side window power-switch to work when and if it wants to?

Am I nuts?

I bought this truck used less than 2500 miles and two months ago. should this all be fixed under my 90 day warranty?

thanks gang!

Nick, new jeep xj owner and lover
