I HAVE AN 88CHEROKEE PIONEER THERE IS A BLUE VACUUM LINE THAT WAS DISCONNECTED WHEN I BOUGHT IT.IT IS UP BY THE COOLANT BOTTLE AND HAS A BLACK DISC SHAPED THING ON THE END.THE OTHEREND GOES TO FRONT AXLE,WHERE DOES TOP END CONNECT TO??? PLEASE HELP!

thats no a vacuum line it a breather for the front axle DON'T PLUG IT!!!! you have one for the rear too. it should be by the fire wall. All the disc is. Is a one wy valve.

This is what the front differential breather looks like on my 88 XJ Pioneer.


This is the t-case breather.


I think you're talking about one of these check valves. Unfortunately I can't tell you exactly what they are for because I ripped them all out of mine!
