My daughters Jeep GC gas pedal will not move more then maybe 1/4 of an inch, needless to say the car accelerates slow only up to about 50 MPH. I thought that it was the accelerator cable but the guy at Autozone says they do not have accelerator cables. Is this correct?
Thanks for the replies in advance

Newer Jeeps are drive by wire.. (there is a switch on the gas pedal and a sensor that tells the computer how far you are mashing the gas..)

I dont know what year Jeep switched to drive by wire but it is relatively new.. I think it was 05 but like I said I am not sure..

But you can just look at the side of the throttle body to see that .. You didnt need us to tell you..

If your throttle body looks like this...

Its drive by wire.. (See the motor on the drivers side that controls the throttle position..)

A standard cable throttle body looks like this..(like this.. this is not a Grands throttle body..)

See the cable connection on the passenger side...and throttle position sensor on the drivers side..

I couldnt find a better picture but this is what the Grands throttle body looks like..
