i guess if a mod could .you might want to move this to the Cherokee furom?

well the sawzall got to have some more fun this morning before work

mind you these are just the rough cuts to get it down to size finial trimming is still needed

what ever you do if you attempt this is never use the gutter as a reference point.the roof lines do not match.the comache roof is taller

so i still have to trim the roof a certain way to use the section of remaining roof from the Xj .if you look closely in these pictures you will see how another person worked it out to fit the comanche cab section

the only real difference is mine will be a extra cab and not a 4 door

Holy crap thats awesome... TSL SXs are what I am getting (though I think not 42s... Probably like... 38s or something) but are you doing some reenforcement of the unibody? I thought 35 was about the safe upper limit for stock unibodies? (I have guy helping me do a computerized stress analysis of the frame so I can reenforce mine effectively with as little added weight as required... Just need to find some drawings of the unibody)

there won't be anything stock about this once i get my hands all over it.

as for the unibody and strengthening it .that will be covered later but lets say it won't have any of the stock frame left.

played some more earlier this afternoon.

when all the trimming is finished i should have a 6" window and still have just enough for the bottom of the rear seat to fit.since the extra cab is really just for the dog thats enough for him .i'll put up a carpeted panel in the rear.cut the original inner panels for the sides.redo the headliner and find some comanche upper trim to finish it off
