Oil pressure sending unit BROKE ....need help and advice

The black tube looking thing broke from the block. whats the best way to remove the piece? since it is broken. Or possibly block it and forget the oil pressure gauge?

If I remember right..you can unscrew the rest of the oil pressure unit in the picture and replace it with a new one. I broke mine when putting a new oil filter in. I wouldn't disconnect it for good because you never know what can happen...better to see the pressure drop before you have been running the engine dry and overheat the piss out of it

by overheat the piss out of it you mean seize it .

Holy crap, that happened to me less than two weeks ago! Nice timing.

Is it a simple unscrew/replace job, or is there more involved?
