First, let's get something straight: I am not mechanically inclined Wink . But my goal was to get my ride running for less than $1000, purchase price included, so I decided to try to do all the work myself. That being said, when I bought my 95 Cherokee recently I had to replace the motor mounts and remove sheared mounting bolts from the block (left handed drill bit and lots of penetrating oil worked great).

Upon replacing the motor mounts, I could not get the nuts on the mount studs that point down to tighten up flush.

So, here's the question: Are they supposed to? It feels like they both stopped at the same place. Now when I try to tighten them, they turn, but I think it's the whole stud since the gap doesn't seem to change. I can't see what the stud is doing while I turn the nut.
