Going to change the fluid in my tranny and transfer case for the first time. Both the manual and the haynes manual I have for my 98 with the ax5 say a 75w-90 gl5 for the tranny. But I have read on here that the gl5 has issues with the syncros? What goes on there? What fluid do ya'll reccommend then? I was going to use mobil 1 75w90 gear oil, but it seems to be more for diffs than trannys, does that matter? I has a friction modifier in it for limited slips, make a difference?
