port for new temp sensor

I put all new autometer gauges in and I can't find a x-tra port for the new temp sensor i took the original out and it ran like shit b/c that one is for the comp. So where do i put it?

I'm assuming you currently using the port on the top of the head, at the rear, driver side of the valve cover. There is an extra hole on the driver side of the block, below the exhaust manifold. There's actually two plugs there, one is a drain plug, the other can be used for your new sensor.

No i dont have it hooked up at the moment couldnt find a spot. I checked the ports and the one at the back towards the firewall is stripped so I found the other port and the plug isnt a hex top its a square top. How do you get it out. All I can find are hex type adapters no square type.

If it's an internal square, you should be able to use a 3/8" ratchet with an extension, the drive will fit tight in.

Just incase other are reading this you can remove the instrument panel cluster out and tight the 1/4 "nut behind each gage and it will start to work like new for some reason they didn't get them good and tight at the factory so over time a little resitance builds up and then the gages just are not right . at least the yj wranlers and probly the cherokees
