| i was wondering if anyone has experience with 6 inch lifts that could tell me if i could get away with putting a rusty's 6" without sye and driveshaft for a barebones stalk 98 4.0 xj. im not sure if 4.5" would satisfy me, but it does seem to be the cheaper route. or do i need a sye and driveshaft for 4.5 anyway? |

| At 6" you will ned an SYE. At 4.5" you might be able to get away with a tcase drop and axle shims, but you will severely reduce the life of your ujoints. |

i had 6" lift in the rear of my jeep with a t-case drop and no shims and had no drive line problems at all. it all depends on you and your jeep cus all jeeps are different, and so are the leaf packs. _________________ front 9" arb chromos 4.56s warn hubs; rear 8.8 detroit and 4.56s; rustys crap long arms crossmember and coils; RE leafs; rusty boomerang and 2' block; oh and trimming gotta love that sawzall |
